Our frames are made completely of hardwoods. You won't find any plywood or staples holding them together. Every frame is doweled, glued and screwed. We have gotten furniture back for recover work from the same clients 20 years or more after they bought it--because the fabric wears out long before the frame does.
Handmade means handmade.
The majority of our finishing takes place here in our workshop. A custom blend of paints and stains is used to match you or your client's specifications. The sky is the limit when it comes to the look of your piece--from glossy wood stains to faux metal finishes.
The industry gold standard. We use Never-Sag steel webbing which--as the name suggests--guarantees your sofa or chair will never sag, as well as more traditional methods such as hair.
Our smaller-scale production and intense focus on each item that comes through our shop means that we pay the utmost attention to ALL the details. Mismatched patterns on fabric gives us hives.
This is not assembly line factory work. This is a custom wooden base--designed and drawn by us, hand turned by skilled woodworkers to our specs and finished in our workshop.
We offer backs that hold a Marshall unit made of individually wrapped coils. The ultimate in comfort and durability.
Covered button making happens one at a time, with a hand-powered machine. Which means we even pattern match buttons when the piece calls for it. We're that intense.
There is no detail too small.
Lots and lots of little details add up to one major difference between us and them:
They make furniture. We make fine furniture.
