F . A . Q .
Got questions? Hopefully we've got answers.
Will you please, please sell me a sofa?
We would love too, truly we would. We love furniture and we'd love everyone's home to hold a Martin Industries original.
But we are a wholesale manufacturer, not a retail store. We work strictly with those in the design industry: interior decorators, designers, architects, who in turn sell to their clients.
If you're one of the above, call me, maybe?
If not, we're sorry but at this time we are unable to help you. Thanks for visiting our site, though!
How much does your stuff cost?
All of our custom work is quoted on an individual basis. If you are a design firm interested in working with us, please send us your concepts or contact us for a quote.
We are happy to quote any project and aim to turn around most quotes within 48 hours. If you're looking for something faster, please give us a call or shoot us an email, we're happy to go over budgets and discuss details at any time.
How long does it take?
For custom work: the time frame varies. In general, once we have recieved your deposit and all necessary fabrics/trims/etc. it will be 12-14 weeks to completion. That can change due to many factors out of our control, however. We do our best to complete each job as expediently as possible, and you can feel free to contact us for status updates at any time. We will be able to give you a better estimate once your job is rolling along.
For items ordered from our collections: Once we have recieved your deposit and fabrics we aim for a completion date within 4-6 weeks.
Do you do recover/refinishing work? Or slipcovers?
The short answer: yes, we do and no, we don't. We are happy to quote your recover work based on a photo of the item, or you can send it to us. But please note that we reserve the right to contact you regarding additional charges if the item(s) prove to need more work than initially thought.
We do not do slipcovers or drapery at this time.
Can I come look at fabrics and leather in the showroom?
We are proud to carry an extensive collection of fabrics, including:
Duralee Clarke + Clarke
Highland Court Robert Allen
Bailey & Griffin Kravet
Suburban Home Brunschwig & Fils
We also carry a large range of premium leather for your upholstered projects.
Our showroom contains an extensive selection of sample books, and we are happy to handle all aspects of fabric ordering, memo ordering, tracking, etc. for your projects.
What are your shipping/storage fees?
Martin Industries does not handle shipping. When your item(s) are completed and ready to go we will contact you. They will be packed for shipment, but the shipping arrangements and carrier are up to you. We are happy to recommend a list of local movers with have worked with in the past.
We do not offer storage at our facility. Completed furniture must be picked up in a timely manner.
If you don't have a shipping/moving company we are happy to provide some names of companies that we work with regularly and trust.
